Horse Hair/Pet Ash Teardrop Cabochon

Stunning brightly colored teardrop pendant necklace. Can be filled with hair, fur, or ashes. Resin stone measures approximately 12x16 mm. It comes with a 16- or 18-inch sterling silver flat cable necklace.

*The pendant in this picture is an example. The background of these pendants is done in what's called a "petri dish" style resin with tiny pieces of horse tail individually placed into the resin. The colors vary in each piece from brilliant oranges and reds, to purples and blues.

*When mixing cremains into resin, the colors are typically dulled and diluted slightly. Vibrance of color can sometimes be elicited by adding in glitter or foil, but it's hard to tell exactly what the color will be, depending on the actual colors of the ashes provided.

Please note: Jewelry made from animal fur/hair is organic in nature. Care must be taken with your piece if you want it to last for a long time. Hair/fur can break down over time when exposed to elements. This means being careful not to submerge pieces in water (taking jewelry off when washing hands, bathing, showering, swimming, or putting on lotions or sunscreens, et cetera), and if you have a piece that is created in resin, use care to also avoid sunlight, as all resin on the market yellows over time to some degree, and the process is speeded up by sunlight.
